The end of the third marking period is on Friday January 22nd. We will be holding Parent-Teacher Conferences on the 27th, 28th, and 29th of January. The students will have half days on those days. I look forward to again talking with you about your child’s progress.
Friday, December 18th, is the last day of school before Winter Vacation. The students return to school on Monday, January 4th. Over the break the students should try to read several books. They just received a free book from RIF that you can share with them. It would also be a great idea if they kept a journal of all the things they did. This will give them practice in writing their thoughts down. Remind them to use capitals in the beginning of the sentence and periods at the end.
I want to welcome you to Room 208. As you know I send home a weekly Homework Packet . Your child will receive it the first day of school that week and it comes home the last day of that week. I will also send home a Weekly Behavior Report so you are aware of how your child is doing. There will be a letter on the back to inform you of activities for the upcoming week. I am looking forward to working with your child.
